A list of qualified students for Reds tickets is posted on the guidance window. Students with a first quarter GPA of 3.5+ are eligible. If your name is not listed, you must see your counselor regarding your first quarter grades. Qualified students can order their Reds tickets online with a special password, obtained in the guidance office, beginning March 2nd.

Dear Lakota West Parent:

At Lakota West High School, we believe the parent-school-student relationship provides the best means for success both in school and throughout life. Over the course of the next several weeks, we will begin the registration process for the 2013-2014 school year. Working together, we are confident we will provide both a smooth registration process as well as a quality educational experience for your child. Your active role in the registration process is critical to ensure your child reaches his/her full potential. 

The start of the registration process will include a variety of activities including the Individual Graduation Plan meetings with students, the release of Program of Studies books and parent/student Registration meetings for the Class of 2016, which are critically important to receive the most updated registration information (see reverse for West’s schedule). 

During these evening Registration Meetings you will: 

• Meet our Administrative Team
• Meet our Guidance Counselors
• Receive important information about high school credits and graduation requirements
• Review the registration process
• Have an opportunity to ask questions
• Have an opportunity to attend an “Elective Fair” to aid in your child’s decision making

We ask that whenever possible, you attend the registration meeting on the date/time indicated on the back of this letter. If you have an unavoidable conflict, please feel free to attend on another date/time for your child’s grade level.

If you have a current sophomore or junior, we encourage you to review the timeline on the back of this sheet and engage your student in conversation regarding the registration process, as appropriate.

Session 3 for the Lakota West Preparatory SAT classes will start on Wednesday. Feb. 6th in room 224. these classes will be held on Wednesdays for English, and Thursdays for Math. From 2:45 to 4:00 for 5 weeks. This session will lead up to the SAT date of March 9th.
